The following are answers to the most common queries from our guests. Please feel free to contact us for any other information or for further advice on your stay in our Luxury Apartments in Edinburgh.
How do I know which apartment best suits my needs?
Should any of your group have specific access requirements please contact us on 0131 477 3680 prior to booking and discuss your needs with one of our team who will be able to advise you on the most suitable apartment. We offer apartments located in different sections of the Old Town. If you require an apartment close to a specific landmark, area or building, please contact our reception team on 0131 477 3680 and they can advise you on which apartments are closest to your destination.
Are pets welcome in any of your apartments?
We accept guide dogs only and must receive a deposit in case of any accidental damage. If you are bringing a pet please contact our reception team prior to booking to discuss if your animal will be allowed within the building.
What if I have access requirements?
We have a wide range of apartments but some may be difficult depending on your requirement so please contact our reception team prior booking and we can recommend the best apartment for your needs.
Where do I collect keys?
Please come to our office on the Royal Mile at 1 Byres Close, 375 High Street, EH1 1PW to collect your keys. We will then provide directions to your apartment and all the information you may require during you stay.
What time is check-in?
Our check-in time is from 3pm to 6pm. To assist us in ensuring a swift check-in for all arrivals it would be appreciated if you could send an email to with your estimated arrival time.
What if I arrive outside of these times?
We always do our best to accommodate our guest’s requests and will offer early check-in where possible but cannot guarantee this. If you are planning on arriving in Edinburgh after 6pm please contact us as early as possible to we can arrange late key collection. Please note that should you require late key collection it must be arranged in advance and you must come to our office the morning after check-in to complete the required paperwork prior to 10.30am.
What time is check-out?
Check-out time is 11am.
Can I arrange a late check-out?
We can offer a late check-out up to 1pm for an additional £10 per hour per apartment. This must be arranged in advance and is subject to availability.
Where can I leave luggage before check-in or after check-out?
You are welcome to leave your luggage in our office between 9.30am (10am on Sundays) until 5.30pm.
How do I get from the airport to the city centre?
You can either travel by bus, tram or taxi. A taxi will cost between £18 and £25 depending on traffic. You can take the Airlink bus from outside the arrivals terminal to Edinburgh city centre (Waverley Bridge). The journey time is approx. 30 minutes and costs £3.50 per person each way (£6 return). How far is your office from the train station or public transport drop-off points?
We are around 5-10 minutes’ walk away, depending on your walking speed, or a few minutes by taxi. Please note that we are located uphill from the stations and drop-off points. Please contact our office and we can advise on the easiest route.
Where can I park when collecting my keys?
The closest location is St Giles Street in metered on-street parking. This is around one minutes’ walk from our office. Alternatively, Market Street, Chambers Street, or Johnston Terrace are nearby for metered on-street parking.
Where is the closest parking to my apartment?
The closest parking is dependent on the apartment booked. Please contact our reception team who will advise of both the closest on-street parking and private car park.
How much does the parking cost?
It is dependent on the type of parking you select and the time period you wish to leave your car. Please contact our reception team who will provide the closest parking options for your selected apartment.
What is provided in the apartment?
Each apartment includes the following:
Television with Freeview, DVD player, cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine, dryer or drying rack, fridge, freezer, crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment and utensils, modern bathroom with shower, Egyptian cotton linen, fluffy towels and a hairdryer. Some apartments come with a bathtub or second en-suite shower. All come with complimentary toiletries from the Scottish Fine Soap Company as well as tea, coffee, sugar and mineral water.
What facilities and attractions are close to the apartment location?
All apartments are located within walking distance of the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh University and many local attractions. Each is a few minutes’ walk from local conveniences and restaurants.
Can I get a grocery delivery to my apartment?
You are welcome to have a food delivery sent to your apartment but it must be delivered while you are in your apartment to accept it. For advice, including questions regarding delivery of items when you will not be in the apartment, please contact our reception prior to arranging anything.
Are towels, linen and hairdryers provided?
Are there stairs?
Many of our apartments are located in traditional Scottish tenements and not all have lifts so please contact us prior to booking if stairs are difficult for anyone in your group.
What should I do if any of our group has access requirements?
Please contact us prior to making your reservation so we can ensure you book an apartment that is suitable for your needs.
Do your apartments have free Wi-Fi?
Most, but not all, of our apartments offer free Wi-Fi. If this is a requirement for you, please contact our reception team to ensure you are booking a suitable apartment.
Do you provide baby cots?
We provide cots free of charge, subject to availability. Please contact our team prior to arrival to secure a cot for your apartment. For health and safety we do not provide linen for the cot, so please ensure to bring your child’s blankets with you.
Do you provide extra beds?
Each of our apartments is specifically designed for the number of guests we advertise and as such, it cannot accommodate additional guests. Should your party number change please contact our reception team who will advise if another apartment would better suit your needs.

Where can we get haggis or fish and chips?
There are many good fish and chip shops located in Edinburgh, and numerous restaurants serve delicious traditional haggis, neeps and tatties. There also fantastic takeaway options throughout the city. Please enquire upon check-in and our staff will recommend a good choice close to your apartment.
